Hello precious Maria. Thank you for taking time to convey your thoughts and feelings. You are open and self-revealing. That is bold of you and actually a sign of having a measure of spiritual and emotional intelligence. People who are truly born from above are open and self-revealing because the work of the Cross of Christ in them removes all pride that they have it all together. That’s you and I—we don’t have perfect lives but because we are born of the Spirit, we are on the mastery path to perfecting our trust (faith) relationship with our risen King.

Jesus is the Master of everything, thus individuals who are redeemed out of the depraved and fallen evil empire, have been liberated by a spirit of excellence (Phil. 4:8) to perfect our faith with a reverential fear.

I see you are hungry for truth, Maria. Bless the Lord God almighty for hungering and thirsting for righteousness (right-headedness). Though you were out of your head that has left you bereft of a husband, through your abiding relationship with the King, you now have access to His righteousness—His Head is the only right head (see Romans 3:4; 1 Cor. 2:16).

Yes, I can highly recommend a volume among others that will cast a vision for the resurrection of an endangered species, the distinctly American Christian mother. The title is: Letters to Mothers by Lydia Huntley Sigourney.. I will get a copy to you by postal mail. In fact, I will send you an email with a pdf introducing you to this historian of the 1800’s.

Further, I invite you to read a blog post I wrote for Mother’s Day in 2020: : https://www.libertyisthelaw.us/the_patriotic_duty_of_american_christian_mothers. Feel free to leave a comment.

By working towards renewing your mind to the American Christian mother, you will, indeed, be throwing off the enemies to our American way of life of Christian self-government. I look forward to seeing you progress in our new faith journey to embrace the government of our King with increasing measures for your household victory, Maria.

Thank you for your support of this international missionary family to America. Two are better than one.

Glad you enjoyed this read. More importantly, delighted to learn that you’re a home-educating mother. My wife and I have been there now for 21 years. It is so redemptive to learn as a parent teaching our children what we should have learned in our own schooling years but were deprived of such knowledge and the primary source history of the mighty works of God in America.

America’s heritage of Christian character is what convinced me that if there were no gospel of Jesus Christ, there would be no America. A lack of Christ character in so many men and some women I know personally, it is no wonder our nation is in the slums it is in.

It’s what Christ said that if our light does not shine we are trampled under the foot of men. That’s where we’ve been for a good 200 years, but I no longer consent to such evil prevailing, hence this family-integrated ministry is born out of the sacrifices for truth Christ reveals to me out of His written law of the spirit—truth is a Person.

Thank you for your support, Lisa!

Lisa, where you have been all these years!? Your enthusiastic feedback is very encouraging. Thank you, madam!

So one of the realities about me, is that I avoid the shallows like the plague. I want substantive, meaningful relationships, which do require DEEP communications. That scares a lot of men away from me, and even some women. Nevertheless, I pan for silver until I find GOLD!

I believe that is who Jesus Christ is. He goes DEEP before taking people wide. The trouble is that’s the narrow way and few go therein. But it is divine life to overcome the decrepit world order that many faith professors have accommodated to their conformity of the world order.

Haven’t we seen enough of the shallowness of modern Christian faith that is devoid of power to deal a death blow to the King’s enemies? And experience victory TODAY?

For over 25 years, I’ve been pursuing where I see the King lead me by His Spirit, He will take His children as far as they have faith to entrust Him with all of their life.

It is tremendously helpful to receive this kind of feedback, Lisa. You obviously have similar observations to mine about men being regarded for little more than sperm donors. Men need to be called up to a reality much higher than themselves. Producing a people filled with a sense of the King’s destiny includes the following attributes:

    self-worth
    honor
    uniqueness
    historical vision
    faith
    purpose
    leadership

When I consider where we are at as a nation, as a church, and as families, though women and children are responsible, men are MOST responsible and therefore the KEY to resurrecting individual and national freedom.

No Courts — No Justice Part 2

The distinctly Christian idea of government begins with oneself, family, church, state—in that order.

All controversies in those jurisdictions must hold court in order for injured parties and the accused to have a meaningful opportunity to be heard with compelling evidence. When injustices prevail in our nation, it is the church and the family that are at fault.

The way a ship is built in modern times to build the hull with bulkheads. That way the ship can take a hit and water will fill up only that compartment sealed off from the remainder of the ship hull. Thus, giving the captain and crew (father and family in my case) time to get to shore for repairs. It’s good to be able to take a hit and not have it sink the entire vessel of family government. That’s how real this is for me and ought to be for all householders.

    The Turkish Delight

    Barry's Father: Impossible To Stop

Eulogy from my dad's funeral in 2007—

Today in America there is a great debate over illegal immigration into our country. And though the debate over illegal immigration might be new to many of us here today, the reality of illegal immigration is not new to a great country like ours.

My father, Stephen Hasan Durmaz, a native of Turkey, arrived in America as an illegal alien. Over the course of years from 1954 to the early 60’s, he made a total of three attempts to enter into America before securing a legal status.

On his first attempt he was a member of the Turkish navy when he decided to “jump ship” while they were ported in the New York harbor. His criminal activity was discovered, and soon after he was found and sent back to Turkey.

On the second attempt he stowed away on an ocean liner headed for New York. When my father came out of hiding, he realized that he had come out too soon. The authorities turned the ship around and returned him to his homeland of Turkey.

It was on his third attempt that he successfully positioned himself to stay legally by marrying my mother, who was a green-card-holding legal resident from Scotland. Through my mother he obtained his get-out-of-jail-free card, although he was still nervous about his newly established legal status and would instinctively dodge approaching FBI agents.

To appreciate the character of my father, it is helpful to know a little about the family name—Durmaz. The Durmaz name is made up of two words: maz, which means impossible, and dur, which means stop. To be a Durmaz is to be one who is impossible to stop. That is the Durmaz character. And that was my father—a man with a destiny to leave his country, where Islam is the predominant false religion, for a land that has been ordained to be a light and hope to the nations, a city set on a hill. This is because the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the proclamation of internal liberty from sin and external liberty from the oppression of man, has had its fullest effect in America like no other nation in history, reaching the highest sphere of civil government—the nation.

Another character trait that embodied my father was his love of learning. And that is truly amazing because my father had no formal education whatsoever. In fact, because his father needed his help to build fruit farms in Turkey, my father went no further than an eighth-grade education. Yet despite that apparent setback of the lack of classroom learning, my father taught himself to speak the English language and thereby provided for himself and his family in America.

I mentioned earlier that my father served in the Turkish navy. His job was that of radio controller and telegrapher—sending and receiving Morse code messages. When opportunity presented itself, he would turn the dial on short wave to American radio broadcasts—because he was determined to learn the English language. My father had a love of learning. That love has been burned into me, and now I in turn am imparting it to my five arrows.

Because my father learned the English language and settled in America, he heard for the first time in his life that he was a sinner with the wrath of a holy God upon him and that the only hope of salvation is through the sacrificial death of the Son of God—Jesus Christ. Years ago I asked my father why he became a Christian, and he said that he knew the truth was not in Islam but in Christ alone.

In addition to a love of learning, my father also had a desire to teach his children what he knew. I am so grateful to my father for teaching me the fine art of professional window cleaning—a trade he learned working on high-rise buildings in New York City. Some years after moving to Oregon in 1974, my father took me on window-cleaning jobs with him and slowly built into me a skill that would serve my own family as I built a window-cleaning business from scratch.

As a result of what my father did to not simply give me a fish for a day but a fishing pole for life, I have been able to be a source of blessing to other men and their families as I have employed them in the field of professional window cleaning. Some of those men are here today, and I am honored by your presence that you have come to see and hear about the man who put me in business—my father.

My father had a love and taste for quality. As young children, my three sisters, my brother, and myself learned all about processed food industry terms such as BHA, BHT, preservatives, artificial color, artificial flavor, monodiglycerides, and other difficult to pronounce words.  In our household we did not get to eat those colorful cereals other children enjoyed. We saw the commercials on television, but my father worked hard to feed his children shredded wheat, Grape-Nuts, oatmeal, and has anyone heard of millet? The most exciting cereals we were allowed to eat were Honey Nut Cheerios and Raisin Bran.

When it came to enjoying a big pancake breakfast, Mrs. Butterworth's and Aunt Jemima were nowhere near to be found on our table. Only 100% pure maple syrup in a tin can with a picture of a log cabin was on our table. I thank my father for teaching us children the difference between the “real thing” and what he called “imposters”, which are all for the sake of a quick buck.

This is another reason that my father rejected false religions for the authenticity of biblical Christianity. He saw the impurity of false religion for what it was in contrast with the authentic taste of the good news of Jesus Christ.

With the birth of our children over the last six years, my household was especially delighted to have my father at our meal table. My father served our household these past six years by assisting us with our children—simply by reading to them. They loved to have Grandpa Stephen read good books to them, and he would read to them for over an hour, they failing to comprehend how wearisome that could be to a man in his seventies.

The last few months of observing my father deal with his deteriorating health and learning of his diagnosis of advanced stage bone marrow cancer, though sad, has been a gift from God. In the last months and weeks of his life, there has been more communication and cooperation among us siblings to serve my father—that was previously foreign to us. I see a new work of God’s Spirit among the Durmaz adult children.

We love you, Father, for your unceasing prayers and servant's heart for your children and others around you. We long to see you when we meet again in the heavenly kingdom.

    Church Government

    OBJECTIVE #2

    Resurrecting Church Government to
    Overcome Ecclesiastical Strongholds

The Local Self-Governed American Christian Church

Exercising the three functions of government:

Planning, Executing, and Judging for Themselves

Proclaiming spiritual liberty is the divine mission of the church, which is the voice of conscience to family and state. Conversely, evidence of a false gospel preached is oppression, powerlessness, and corruption by proud men occupying leadership positions—a present reality. The glorious and victorious governmental arm of the Lord Jesus Christ is reduced to ecclesiastical bureaucracies. Here is where we get to why family men displace their Christ-masculine authority.

“Christianity has a masculine message of a husband who laid down His life for His bride. But we have an effeminate church preaching an effeminate gospel, proclaiming Jesus as Savior while ignoring His command for male rule in His kingdom.”

    —Zachary M. Garris; Masculine Christianity; p. 27

“…think about the connotations of sitting, listening passively, and being led. Is that more compatible with maleness or femaleness? There, in a nut-shell, is why today’s church attracts more women than men. Women don’t feel a need to prove their womanhood. Men, on the other hand, have an astonishing psychospiritual need to prove their manhood over and over and over. And sitting in rows doesn’t do it.

Paul comments that “it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church” and to teach men. I suspect the main reason he was so extreme on that point is that it kind of puts men in the posture of women. Tragically, we today have put men in the posture of women—not by placing women over them, but by placing other men over them in debilitating ways. With the same net effect!

Christian men have a general reputation as being less like John Wayne and more like good ol’ Charlie Brown.…You don’t produce “real men” by making them sit in rows and listen for seventy years. You do it by making them stand up and boldly proclaim what’s in their hearts and in the Word.”

James H. Rutz; The Open Church; p. 174–175

It is my multi-decade experience that instead of remaining faithful to proclaim liberty throughout all the land—inspiring men to take action as men and inspiring women to take action as women, leaders in the church have displaced its revelatory and spiritual calling for an earthly one of professionalism and commercial/state identity. Thus the all-powerful Jesus, Head of His own body, has been displaced for a figurehead.

I know by real-world evidence that men who preach and teach of a future hope in heaven while accommodating the evil empire are strengthening the hands of evildoers. By embracing socialism and any of its idealogical cousins, these men deny the power of the King to govern them in the “Now faith is…” reality of Christian self-government.

The King’s gospel law is a call to well-ordered liberty.* This advance of the King’s mission was the work of the early church (33 AD–3rd century AD), the Protestant Reformation (1517–1620), and America’s founding era (1620–1820), resulting in hope to all the people of the nations who immigrated here for liberty and freedom.

However, when the church is no longer the salt and light of the land, the Head of the church declares that we have become “good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot of men” (Matt. 5:13). In other words, when all the religious activity of meetings, sermons, buildings, people, giving, etc. that ought to be good for something fails to preserve the land in virtue relationally, economically, and governmentally, Christ says we are good for nothing.

Being good for nothing bothers my conscience. It has for many years. Reading, rereading, contemplating, meditating, and reflecting on these indicting words of Jesus Christ eventually moved me to no longer be part of this gross ineffectiveness of the Christian faith. I took to heart the truth that the head of every man is Jesus Christ. In other words, my individual obedience to Christ is not subject to anybody. Nobody! Rather, I owe unlimited submission and obedience to my Beloved as evidence that I am His and He is mine.

Jesus is Lord of the conscience. It is my experience and conclusion that Jesus Christ will honor a man’s faith regardless of what others do or don’t do. My life over the past twenty-five years is proven fact that He honors the conscience of the individual who loves Him enough to actually obey Him. He said His commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3), so there is no excuse for disobedience to Him Who redeemed my soul from eternal condemnation.

If you choose to get to know me and how I led my household these past twenty-seven years—most especially the last ten—through spiritual, relational, material, and financial wilderness, you will learn of the EVIDENCE I have that King Jesus honors his men of conscience to the utter befuddlement of the naturally-minded onlooker.

My family has suffered much loss at the hands and mouths of false brethren and false teachers—men who promise hope of the King’s government for the future but who have no faith to surrender to His government today.** That is not demonstrating the love of the King for His people but is a deception to neutralize in them the King’s power to overcome false, seeable lawgivers (idols). I address this phenomenon in a burden I received from the King and presented to a gathering of the King’s people in Newville, Pennsylvania entitled “No Courts—No Justice”. You can access this word of the King online at our family ministry site: www.LibertyIsTheLaw.us. Watch or listen to this poignant word of the Lord and then share it with your circle of influence. To the degree that there are no courts of justice in churches, falsehood, theft, and murder prevail in our communities. I’m speaking by personal experience of having been murdered at least four times. Watch the video “No Courts—No Justice”.

Therefore, I am no longer willing to support men and women who choose to play church as a temporal, finite game instead of as the governmental administration of the King. Hence, my message “No Courts—No Justice” is the beginning of casting abroad authoritative teaching to faithfully represent the heavenly Father’s right that His kingly Son possess a body that refuses to accommodate the satanic world order. Therefore, my family is meeting with other believers in the authority of the risen King to unite under His divine law of love as a work of genuine unity among His saints. We fellowship together, affirming the following realities:

    • A revelation that Jesus Christ is alive evidenced by…
    • …agape and phileo love as evidence that the King is alive from the dead
    • Eating the King’s bounty of the Lord’s supper as a full meal
    • Worshipping in Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual songs
    • Every man contributing to the building up of the King’s body through psalm, teaching, a tongue, a revelation, an interpretation…(I Cor. 14:16).
    • Equipping families for the work of serving others to live in the King’s government
    • Recovering the distinction between church meetings and ministry meetings
    • Praying for and exhorting the state to protect family and church
    • Training men to govern their families according to revealed law
    • 24/7 reality of community fellowshipping
    • Continued reforming for an increasingly beautiful adornment of the holy bride

    Raising awareness with Contextual Models

    • “No Courts—No Justice”
    • Rule of Men vs. Rule of Law”

    Instituting Church Courts

When the body of the King is unified locally, it will then possess the corporate authority to serve the state as the voice of conscience. That’s why loyal believers of the King in this country will marinate on the mighty works of the Lawgiver in America.

One of my conclusions about our country is that even though liberal Democrats (socialists, Marxists, communists, etc.) and conservative Republicans (socialists, feminists, statists, etc.) are responsible for where our country is, Christians are most responsible for the conduct and quality of America. That is because the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the voice of conscience to all areas of life. When the nation is corrupt and lawless, it did not begin in the schoolhouse, courthouse, statehouse, or White House. The church house is MOST responsible, for it alone is “the ground and pillar of truth”.

Second to the church house is the man’s house because the home is the first jurisdiction of law, government, and freedom. In the beginning God created the family first as the foundation and training center of well-ordered liberty for the church and state levels. Hence, you are receiving this ministry case statement as the overflow of well-ordered Christian liberty in my household.

    *Gospel liberty: Galatians 5:1, 13; 2 Peter 2:19–20

  • published County Government in Rebuild 2021-11-25 12:08:31 -0500

    OBJECTIVE #3

Rebuild out of the ruins of Babylonian captivity in State

    Resurrection of County Government To

    Overcome Bureaucratic Strongholds

A Voluntary Union of Free and Independent States

Exercising the Three Functions of Government:

Planning, Executing, and Judging for Themselves

Contrary to how things appear, the state governs only when it enforces our common law heritage, undergirding our supreme law of the land, the US Constitution. The confusion in our modern era is that our states are not governing but tyrannizing to the degree that they legislate and enforce man-made socialistic and communistic law.

The state is preoccupied with dominating over families and churches as it has been the previous 200 years. However, the higher truth is that the church has in many ways ceased “standing against the whiles of the devil” to admonish the state to serve as God’s ministers instead of as Satan’s tyrants.

Having marinated in America’s founding history, government, and law for over twenty-seven years, I’ve become pregnant with what is good about America instead of focusing on what is wrong with virtually everything. A mighty work of our King in America is that our Founders were liberated from the Old pagan World of Europe of law for law’s sake in exchange for the New World of America of law for liberty’s sake. In other words, true law in this country is liberty to govern yourself. Hence, liberty is the law.

Liberty as the law is evidence that America’s birthright (Declaration of ’76) and vindication (British surrender at Yorktown, Virginia in 1781) to self-govern was a shout of victory over the evil empire! Families, and only families, have the right to dominate the land, not the state and certainly not the church. The church’s role is to displace and destroy evil, and the state’s role is protection from evil. That leaves the role of dominion to the family, which makes for a free nation: Free people—free nation.

Yet a never-before-seen victory at the national level did not mean that Satan ceased from his operations so that Americans could enjoy a peaceful, conflict-free life. The natural condition of our relationship gardens is not flowers but weeds (strongholds). Utter vigilance is required to maintain order in service to our Divine Savior King.

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven

suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

—King Jesus; Matthew’s gospel record 11:12

The manifestation of the King’s government in America brings Him glory. That is why the enemy has been corrupting and assaulting the family, church, and state the last 200 years (1820–2020). The launch of this ministry in 2020 was a shout-out that my family no longer consents to such evils prevailing in America.

One of the beauties of our common law form of government is the key constitutional officer at the county level—the sheriff. The county sheriff is the highest constitutional officer protecting the lives, freedoms, and properties of the families and churches within his county.

Most sheriffs (not all, thankfully) are ignorant of the documented fact that true law in America is the liberty to govern oneself. They don’t understand that they function in a dual-role. The first role of the sheriff, as elected by the people in his county, is to protect them from encroachments and crimes from individuals and from county, state, and federal agents. You and I remain in our retained rights jurisdiction for all governance that has not been expressly delegated in our Constitution, which public agents take an oath of fidelity before the true Lawgiver to uphold. The second role of the sheriff is to enforce laws under his state governor that don’t exceed the governor’s limited, delegated jurisdiction. Idolatrous legislators each year diminish our God-delegated liberties to self-govern. Thank the Lord Jesus that in our form of government, the sheriff is a bulwark against such encroachments and lusts of legislators.

A truly God-fearing sheriff has the discretion to not enforce laws that encroach on the people’s life, liberty, and property. Again, that is one of the beauties of our form of government—the people are their own rulers.

There, every man is independent of all laws, except those prescribed by nature.

He is not bound by any institutions formed by his fellowman without his consent.”

    -- CRUDEN v. NEALE, 2 N.C. 338 (1796) 2 S.E. 70

Therefore, we the people will instruct and empower the sheriff to defend our families and churches by resisting lawlessness from socialists, Marxists, and communists who are prevailing under the sheriff’s jurisdiction. Because there is only one Lawgiver (James 4:12), the Lord Jesus Christ, genuine Christians are the only ones who understand justice as the Scriptures record and therefore the only ones who can lead legislation, execution, and judgment in matters of law. The state is His minister to enforce the law of the land, not aggrandizing bureaucratic agencies to the demise of families. The following are current projects to resurrect county government:

    • American Sheriff at Common Law: a 12-part video course in cooperation with America’s underground lawyer, Brent Allan Winters, and Sheriff Dar Leaf of Barry County, Michigan

    • Ancillary to the sheriff’s law enforcement by cooperate in creating, organizing, and deploying Committees of Safety.

    • Raise awareness about America’s enemy with my contextual model: “Two Views of Life in America: Contrasting America’s Enemy With Americans”

    • Biblical, historical, and constitutional resources supporting America’s common law way of life are available at our online store: www.LibertyIsTheLaw.us

Despite the Durmaz household not being protected by our county sheriff from encroachments to our lives, our liberty, and our property, I am leading my family in the resurrection of household governance under divine law and America’s heritage of common law and am freed from such bureaucratic strongholds as the following:

    • Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
    • Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
    • Department of Transportation (DOT)
    • United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

This is very encouraging to me, Satomi, that you’re moved to take some kind of action over this case of injustices in my life—one of the King’s men. This is what I am hoping will take place, that whoever has ears to hear what the HOLY Spirit is saying to the true and faithful bride of the King, WILL BE moved to take some action over injustices. Because an attack upon one of the King’s men is the same as an attack on the King Himself.

I was moved to preach this word of the Lord by faith as a result of what is rising up in my inner man from my early morning prayers. The Spirit of the King is training me to apprehend that when I fellowship with Him before His Throne, there will come actionable direction as evidence that I have been before the face of our unseen King.

As one of his servants, you bring a very encouraging word out of 1 Samuel 14:7. Acknowledging the Lord is with me is a first action of faith. Preparing my heart and mind is a next action step, and then speaking the oracles of the King is the next.

The injustice taking place in our city, county, state, and national governments have their origin, root, and correction among those called out of the world order to exercise, promote, and defend the King’s government as the ONLY solution to all of man’s evils.

It is my observation that an utter spirit of complacency, lethargy, and slothfulness overtakes the masses to remain in the abstract of heaven for the future and remain in inaction—disobedience. But when we do obey the King’s law of liberty, we actually possess more understanding than all our teachers and the aged (see Ps. 119: 99-100).

Glory to His authority (name) for rewarding His men and women with spiritual understanding for taking risks for Him. He is a King of justice on His land TODAY and He commands His courts to convene in that spiritual governmental arm in the earth called the church.

Having Sir William Blackstone at one’s disposal is a significant resource of our common law history in North America. I’m not versed much in Canadian history, and unless I am mistaken, I recall you telling me something to the effect that Canada missed an opportunity when America claimed her independence in 1776.

As the common law in America is our founding body of law to the protection of our lives, our liberties, and our properties, I gather a resurrection of the common law in Canada will throw off the yoke of anti-Christian bondage on the King’s land there.

When it comes to public transportation, those agencies may likely have the right to set whatever rules they want for their employees, but not sure about passengers. The victory over these encroachments does begin with defining the distinction between public vs. private. This is an area of governance that is important to me. The lawyers have blurred the distinction between public and private. That is how Satan operates.

Have you considered the use of your own bicycle as a back up? My family has experience living with bicycles for three years in Japan. It was a great experience.

I recommend you search for an exemption such as religious exception.

I have a friend in BC who wants to leave for America before the vaccine mandate goes into effect by the end of October. We are working with him to accomplish that.

Good things are happening with all this upheaval of the state being an evil empire.

Greg, your feedback is helpful due to the specificity of your request. You are on target with your comments and what I can say in the short is that I am at the discretion of Sean Morgan’s questioning and the pace he moves the conversation forward. It is primarily his podcast, though my family is central to publishing the finished episode.

Again, your point is well taken and what would help me further to help you is to know how you learned about Household Embassy and the new podcast, Sunday Scriptures for Patriots. On that note, if you would be good to log in to your account here and complete your profile page, that too, will aid me greatly as I bring content that is in the best interest of my supporters, like yourself.

There is not shortage of ground we can cover together concerning what is distinctly good about America and the principles that flourished here unlike all other countries at the time of her birth in 1776.

I’m taking note of your observation—thank you, my friend!

I like your comparison between voluntary vs. involuntary suffering. I believe you are correct with your assessment about how a married woman can overcome oppression manifesting out of her husband. The victory goes to the wife who applies the ultimate weapon of the Christian life—the Cross.

The cross of Christ is another way of saying death to the self life. Where there is an oppressive husband, the wife can overcome, not defeat, that stronghold by not responding as her flesh would like her to respond—to fight fire with fire. No. The way to put out a fire is with the Rivers of Living Water flowing out of her. This is the Spirit-filled life, which candidly is the new birth.

I’m at a place in my walk with our unseen King where I understand why in marriage much of the conflicts results. One or both spouses are not genuinely experiencing the new birth by the regeneration of the spirit man.

As I stated in one of the earlier podcasts, the Lord said, “Depart from Me you who practice lawlessness.”

Living by one’s feelings, I will say, is the involuntary suffering. Living by how one feels in a conflict leads to open wounds in the soul. So when men like Sean Morgan and myself who dare tread on these sensitive but vitally important matters of household governance and the marital union, we inadvertently step on a land mine when the “knives” come out in response.

Conversely, when a married woman, like those few you know, genuinely lives by faith and not by sight of her feelings, she is truly fighting the fight of the faith through the suffering, and thereby her wounds are healed unto scars, which reminds her that she’s been in a fight. Now she has a testimony of what the King is doing in her when the devil accuses her of anything. Scars are the rewards for suffering by faith—voluntary suffering. Overcoming the oppression or injustice is the reward for suffering the cross of the King. Defeat, pain, and misery are the consequences of suffering in the strength of one’s own flesh, which we know, as the Scriptures record, “…profits nothing.”

Your thoughtful inquiry as to Andrea being helped by a healing & deliverance ministry for a deeply wounded soul vs. a teaching ministry for a coachable person is one I want to think on a bit and discuss with my family. On the one hand, I can see your point from the perspective of differing gifts given to the body to minister at different points of need. On the other hand, I have placed myself under teachers from whom I could hear with my inner ear a sound of truth that I could not walk away from, and in time, I’ve been healed and delivered from the oppression and nonsense of my flesh. My wife can give a similar testimony—she overcame depression with nothing more than in-depth discipleship. In other words, it’s the Word of the King that is doing the work, not the teacher or minister. Regardless of who sows the Word of the Kingdom, it is the soil of the individual heart that will determine whether faith will prevail or Satan will prevail by stealing the Word that is sown. The Devil is after stealing the Word of our unseen King out of the hearts and minds of everybody. My position is that if Andrea submits first to the King and loves first Him, according to His written Word, she will have the power to submit to her husband in obedience to the second great command to love her neighbor as herself.

My initial reply to this last part touches on what I’ve come to experience is perhaps a fraud in many areas of counseling. I’ve dealt with so-called Christian counseling where my mother is concerned and her husband, who is not my father. After years of counseling by various church leaders and by paid Christian professionals, there continues to be marital disunion and relational death. When a man does not husband his wife, he is in rebellion to his Head. I see this in many a place by those who profess faith, but do not possess genuine sanctifying faith. All of us redeemed men and women are His ministers to do the work of ministry to those whom the Holy Spirit brings into our lives. I’m describing a using kind of faith as a superior and biblical alternative to a meeting kind of faith.
